New York City, New York—2016 is not done with its reign of terror, as it took yet another beloved celebrity this weekend. Barry B. Benson, star of The Bee Movie and Vanessa’s heart, passed away this morning. While the country is in a deep state of mourning, a direct link has been made to Barry’s death and the US Fish and Wildlife’s announcement that bees are now endangered. Thousands of bees have left the hive in solidarity with the news, and witnesses attest that the swarm could be heard chanting “THINK BEE, THINK BEE”. Vanessa, Barry’s wife, took time from grieving to give her thoughts on the matter:

“Honestly, Barry captivated me at first buzz. I was dating a human before but once Barry B. Benson came into my life I knew I had to date a bee. I’m so sad the 4-inch love of my life is gone.”

Update: The US Fish and Wildlife Services has declared their reasoning for putting bees on the endangered species list, claiming “According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. It’s wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.”
